Weddings
Having me support your special celebration is not just about playing music and making people dance, it’s having someone who understands your vision and personality and using that to help create a playlist that reflects you and all of your closest friends and family. It’s knowing that you don’t have to worry about technical issues with microphones or speakers. Not having to delegate someone being in control of pushing play and knowing when to stop and start your other songs. It's having the benefit of my experience working with different vendors and venues, from celebrants to photographers to videographers and venues; and knowing what they need from me and how we can all work well to deliver you the best possible experience.
In choosing me to be your DJ and MC, you're giving yourself permission to enjoy your day and particularly, your reception.
Canterbury Venues
One of the great things about hiring me is that because I am a popular choice for events in the South Island, there aren't many venues that I don't know and often the staff know me as well.
This means that I understand a lot of the niggly aspects of a lot of the venues, but also know how to navigate them to ensure that you get the best possible experience and outcome for your wedding. So if you're wedding is at Trent's Winery, Pemberton Gardens, Cossars, Bangor Farm, Waipuna Estate, Majestic on Durham, Rossendale, Harpers Homestead, Milton St Substation, Langdale, Lacebark, Mt Vernon Lodge, The Tannery, Te Pae, Ilex, Melton Estate, Black Estate, Amuri Estate, Stonebridge, Hermitage Hotel in Mount Cook, Stoneridge in Queenstown or literally dozens upon dozens of other venues ... chances are, I've played there.
So ask your venue if they know me. They may not, but they might just.
Pricing
All of my prices are contained within a few different Pricing Guides that exist on another platform, which is where all the contracting and music and event management is done for your event (should you go ahead and book). This includes all package information and all information related to add-on enhancements and extras for your celebration and event. The pricing guide is available to anyone who wants to view it, with no obligation to book whatsoever - but because different events have different needs, and as such different package make-up, I'll send you the correct pricing guide for your event type on request.
Ceremony & Canapés
From the moment your guests arrive, they're treated to a soundtrack you've helped prepare, setting them up for a perfect day of celebrating alongside you.
Every care is taken to ensure that the music for your ceremony is as you imagined it would be.
After your ceremony and while you're away getting photos done, I'll provide music over canapés and keep the good vibes flowing towards your reception.
Reception & Dance Floor
Enter your reception to the roar of your friends and family clapping and cheering together in celebration of you.
Stating off gently, but building energy slowly - I’ll live-mix a playlist that is designed to have your guests bouncing in their seats, while still being able to chat.
Then when the dance floor is open, I’ll take all the info you’ve shared with me to try and get the absolute best out of you and your guests - leaving them with smiles and sore feet the next day.
MC
Relax at your own reception knowing that as your MC, I’ll act as your host to ensure a seamless and relaxing day where everyone gets to enjoy the day as a guest ... including you.
A good MC won't just manage your timeline and hand the microphone to the next speaker, I’ll liaise with all vendors, troubleshoot any problems and ensure that the timeline supports the vendors and ultimately, you, to have a carefree celebration.

Corporate Events
Whether your function is an Awards Celebration, product launch, conference dinner or end of year celebration, I can help boost the energy and positive experience for your guests with a soundtrack that caters to the diversity of people in the room.
50 people or 500, we'll provide you with a musical setting that will help to connect everyone together. We'll use lighting cleverly to tastefully enhance the aesthetics of your room, or we can dial the lighting up and create a light show to help create an energetic dance floor.
Balls / Formals
For a lot of students, there are no school calendar events more anticipated than the School Formal. It's the chance to dress up, hang out and dance with your fellow senior students from school.
Regardless of the size of your school, we can provide small and intimate DJ setups, right through to large scale productions creating a sound and light show for your school.
The added bonus is having a DJ with extensive experience playing both balls and nightclubs, bringing a touch of club-style DJing to insert the energy you want to celebrate with your fellow students with.
Clubs / Bars
Known as DJ Motiv in the nightclub scene, and part of Canterbury's well known Clubkingz DJ crew, I have been lucky enough to have DJ'd in several parts of New Zealand and in Australia.
With the ability to take club-style DJing anywhere, I can show up with my main DJ gear or bring a full production to impress your patrons and keep them dancing on the floor.
Birthdays and other celebrations
Whether at home, or a hired venue, we're happy to go almost anywhere to bring the party and the beats for your special celebration. Special birthday, engagement party or social club gathering - I have a selection of packages to suit almost any budget.
Working closely with you to create the perfect playlist for your event, we can adapt from a dinner and dancing event to a full blown party. With an extensive collection of music that can cater to almost any audience, we can seamlessly mix music for an 80's or 90's themed night to a DnB and funky house rave.
Providing a selection of intelligent lighting that will make your celebration stand out; and microphones if needed for those important speeches.
