Making Music Memorable

Dedicated to creating unforgettable moments through music

Most milestone events only ever happen once in a life time and if you've ever spent time imagining, dreaming or vision-boarding your perfect celebration, then it's important to have vendors who are as committed and as excited for you and your celebration, as you are.

Motiv Entertainment is a people focused DJ service - and it's essentially me, Vito! Based in Ōtautahi Christchurch, New Zealand - which means, unlike with most agencies, you'll have a personal sound and music advisor to support you from the moment you first make contact right up to the very last song being played to a happy crowd of smiles and sore feet.

An experienced DJ who has played popular clubs across New Zealand and Australia, and entertained thousands of people over the years, I bring real DJ skills and a commitment of care to the people who choose me to be their DJ.

Whether you're planning a wedding, corporate gathering, or private party, I'm here to help create the perfect playlist for your celebration but more than that, to help create unforgettable moments through music.

About Me

Born and raised in Wellington, I grew up surrounded by music because my parents were the lay-Catholic ministers for our local church in Lower Hutt. My dad was a guitar player (who enjoyed a drink with his mates) so I also got exposed to lots of garage parties that involved lots of drunken singing.

I also ended up learning guitar, but managed to pick up the keyboard, drums and trumpet along the way too - and I play a mean triangle when I have to. Music meant that becoming a radio announcer straight out of high school and a DJ wasn't too much of a surprise to anyone.

Many years later after a hefty career as a nightclub DJ, my wife and I started Motiv Entertainment while living in the Queenstown-Lakes District, quickly gaining a reputation for quality and professionalism; becoming the preferred mobile DJ provider for a number of event localities and venues around Queenstown, Wanaka and Central Otago.

Ultimately, even though I have introverted tendencies - I’m someone who loves music and I love the joy that it gives people - and that joy is what makes me good at what I do - because it makes me care about how good a job I do.

That care is reflected in the following commitment:

  • I use professional grade equipment that not only sounds amazing, but looks good too.
  • I’ll always give you my best guidance on how I can provide the very best experience for you and your guests.
  • I’ll make the process of booking me and planning music so simple, you’ll barely notice the effort.
